Hyundai Eon with 1.0L Engine Spied at a Dealership in Mumbai

Hyundai Eon with 1.0L engine is spied in a showroom in India.

However, the Eon was already been sold in Indian market, but with 0.8L engine borrowed from Santro. Now, this 1.0L petrol mill is taken from the i10 Grand, which is launched last year.

The motor is cited of European-spec, meant to produce 65bhp and 9.7kgm of torque, after mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

It can be noted the Eon 1.0L will come only in the Magna trim tend to be having standard features like power windows, air conditioning, power steering, engine immobilizer, keyless entry and 13-inch steel wheels.

On the cosmetic note, the 1.0L Eon had only “1.0” badge on the bootlid, and exception to that no more changes can be speculated.

With expected price of Rs 3.85 lakhs (ex-Showroom, Mumbai), the new compact of Hyundai shall go on sale against the likes of Maruti Alto K10 and Datsun GO.

The regular Eon produces 56 PS and 7.6 kgm of torque from a 814 cc three-cylinder engine, added for the informative bit.
