For Hyundai India, this year has been quite slow, as the sales plunged in the first half of the year itself. For this reason, the company shunned away from limelight, especially with information flying around of Maruti Swift DZire, Ford Ecosport and Honda Amaze who have been dominating the car scenario. Though the South Korean manufacturer might look quite for now, but it is on the lookout for launching new vehicles later this year in the domestic market.

Hyundai Motor India Limited, which happens to be the second largest manufacturer in the country, is all set to launch 4 new cars specially designed for the Indian consumer. The first is going to sit comfortably between the i10 and i20, which is the BA compact hatchback. This will go in direct competition with the Maruti Swift which is selling approx 18,000 units a month. The BA hatchback is expected by September 2013 and shall be available in both diesel (1.1 liter) and petrol (1.2 liter) engine variant.

Then Hyundai intends to bring the compact sedan, competing with Maruti Swift DZire, Tata Indigo eCS and Honda Amaze. This particular hatchback is expected to replace the Accent Sedan which has discontinued in Hyundai’a product portfolio, even though this is the most competitive segment in the country. Apart from this, Hyundai has plans of launching a multi purpose vehicle (MPV) to go against Maruti Suzuki Eztigo and Nissan’s Evalla. The long awaited Hexa-space, which is not just a sports utility vehicle (SUV) but a revolutionary compact SUV, which was seen at the Delhi Auto Expo last year, is also expected to be seen soon. By the end of 2015 all these models are expected to be on the roads of India.

At the moment i10, i20 and Verna are ruling their segments. Thanks to their great combo of style and power plus fuel economy figures to boost they are loved by the Indian customers. So even if they have to pay a slightly high price, it’s okay, as the promise of Hyundai’s experience is worth every penny, which is why the Hyundai’s priced at Rs 8 lakhs, still is selling high. With a portfolio of selling high might also be the reason Hyundai did not mind keeping low.

As per reports, “At the present time, the company’s well known vehicles like i20, i10 and Verna have turned major heads in their respective sections. These cars feature a great blend of appearances and supremacy, together with fuel saving figures to make an impact on sensitive Indian clients. Owing to the given factors, the majority of purchasers do not mind paying high cost, as they are guaranteed of the truth that Hyundai offers nothing but superior products.”
