Hyundai will be launching its new compact sedan called the Xcent at the 2104 Auto Expo. Today the car has been shown in front of the media for the first time. Xcent is said to be a car that is based on Grand i10 hatchback. The styling of the car matches to that of any small car.

If one looks at the car, it is evident that there is no difference between the cars up to the rear door. It can surely be said that since the start, the new Xcent is a sedan derivative of the Grand i10 hatchback. The way the tail section blends into the design of the car indicates its similarity with the Grand i10.

Coming to the interiors of the car, the cabin is the same as that of the Grand i10 with the smart dashboard. Some of the features that will be included in the car are the rear parking camera, rear air-con vents, USB-ready audio system and push-button start. The top model of the car will also feature automatic climate control, dual front airbags, steering mounted audio controls and anti-lock brakes.

Hyundai Xcent Unveiled
The Hyundai Xcent will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol or 1.1-litre diesel engine. The engines of the car expected to be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant, on the other hand, will also be offered with a four-speed automatic transmission option. Looking at the response of the Grand i10 hatchback, the Hyundai Xcent is expected to do exceptionally well in the Indian market though it will be competing against cars like Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire.
