India-spec MG Hector SUV Official Images Revealed

Official images of the MG Hector SUV were unveiled at the DriveIn event held recently, and with it we gained more insight into the features and looks of this new model.

The first thing that we notice about this is that its underpinnings and body panels are identical to the Baojun 530 SUV. With an imposing front and an oversized rear overhang, the wheels do seem to be a wee bit tiny in comparison. But the large MG badge on the mesh grille more than makes up for this.

MG Hector will be available in two variants, including a 1.5-litre, 143hp turbo-petrol, and a 2.0-litre, FCA-sourced diesel. The features many include a 360-degree camera, a Harman Infinity audio system, a six-way power adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, keyless entry, cruise control and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Priced between 15 to 20 lakh, the Hector will give tough competition to brands like the Tata Harrier and the Jeep Compass. Well, to actually see this happen, we will have to wait till June this year, when it will officially be available for sale. So till then feel free to share your feedback on these spectacular images, and keep coming back for more updates from the automobile world.
