When it’s SUV – Mahindra excels; but when it comes to MPV Mahindra falls flat with its XYLO. However, there are end number of bad claims pinned in the name of Xylo – as it’s done with a more body roll, tend to flip on turns and such; but trust us, the Mahindra’s MPV inside the cabin is spacious like no one else in the segment. The third-row seating arrangement is generous to accommodate three adults at a time with great ease and without the complaint of AC. Somehow the vehicle was compelled to be defeated in front of Toyota Innova, except Mahindra Xylo still does well in the rough and hilly-terrains for the tourists’ transportations.

In the captivation of changing with times against those errant claims, Mahindra had taken up a step and decided to bring in the car-like MPV to market soon, said a report. Hence, it will be the likes of Honda Mobilio, Maruti Ertiga, Datsun GO+ and such. The cosmetic appearance is said to be drawn from the Xylo and Quanto. In reference to this new vehicle, Mahindra is also reported to have hired over 35 engineers at the Detroit R&D facility. It was conferred in the report India will be the first to get this vehicle followed by rest of the world.

Hence, the engine options aren’t been confronted by the source, but if yet to believe romours – 1.5-liter Renault K9K diesel engine seems suitable, or the SsangYong coordinated new powerplant may find a spot in this new MPV.

Launch is expected in 2017.
