Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift Makes its Global Debut at GIIAS

Just as we had reported earlier, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been unveiled at the ongoing Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in Indonesia. The Ertiga facelift only sees minor cosmetic changes made to it.

The biggest visual change made to the car is the new three-line chrome grille. The existing Ertiga has a four-lined one. The frontal air intakes and the front bumper have been redesigned as well. From the sides, the facelifted Ertiga looks similar except for the electronically controlled OVRMs, though this feature will only be made available in the higher end Vdi/Vxi as well as Zdi/Zxi variants. Chrome usage can also be seen at the rear end of the car. The car would come with rear parking sensors as well as extended tail light reflectors.

On the inside, the number of changes made is even lower compared to the car’s exterior. On the inside the car gets new upholstery and some color changes to the steering wheel and the gear.

As we said earlier that no big changes have been made to the car. So engine and transmission remains the same. It would still come with the 1.4-liter 94bhp petrol as well as the 1.3-liter MultiJet 89bhp engine. The car could well make its way into India just before the onset of this year’s festive season.
