Maserati has launched its first SUV in India, the Maserati Levante starting at Rs.1.45 crore for the base variant and going up to Rs.1.54 crore for the high-end GranLusso variant.

In the middle sits the GranSport variant at Rs.1.49 crore. Designwise, the Levante looks radical for an SUV with curved body and bigger dimensions. Dimensionally the car is over 5 meters in length and two meters in width.

Under the hood, the Levante is powered by a 3.0 litre V6 turbo-diesel engine which produces max power of 275HP and max torque of 600Nm. The motor is mated to an eight-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox with a 4×4 drive system. The car goes to 100 kmph from standstill in about 7 seconds.

On the inside, the Maserati Levante dual-tone black and rose red finish. Customers though can customise the interior and choose a different trim with a choice of wood and leather inlays.

The central console consists of a 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity and navigation, either Harman-Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins speakers, panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control and 360 degree camera coverage.
