Audi India is working hard to get the things straight for new Q7. On numerous occasions the SUV was spotted testing openly on the roads of Mumbai. But despite this immense testing trough the time none confirmed about the launch date until now when a rumour sparked, Audi is considering November for rolling out its new flagship SUV in the country.
However, the makers’ intention seems to coincide with the festive season. The new Q7 in the initial stage will arrive as imported units, later the local production will take over at the maker’s manufacturing facility in Auranagbad. One cannot spot any difference between the imported and India-made examples of the SUV, confirmed the source.
However, the long tests are actually carried out for deciding upon the details to offer in India, but nothing concrete came out of the closet. Yet, one cannot deny the claims, new Q7 will offer buyers a 3.0 TDI diesel with 268bhp, and also a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel for added excitement. Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) and 8-speed gearbox with paddleshifters are bound to remain standard on this SUV. An air suspension was a part of the previous Q7 package, so it may follow this new model as well.
Minus the clutter and straightly shift to prices, new Q7 will may get sold off for a price more than the present model. Expected to commence the sales for as low as Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom), with new Q7 Audi India intends to leverage the tag by offering more features on-board than before. Given that Q7 is still performing very strongly even in these last days, sales person do not need to push forward the new model as soon as it will occupy the space.
