New Concept Vehicle Teased by Datsun

The anticipation for the Tokyo Motor Show has grown by just that much more as Datsun gave us a slight teaser of the new concept model that it has been working on and will premiere at the event which opens towards the end of October. Datsun is keeping all information about this car under wraps and has just shown a picture to create a greater buzz around it.

In terms of what can be made out from the image, the car looks a bit like the older Skoda Yeti in terms of the headlamp layout. It also has various other features like LED daytime running lights, LED headlights and the fender cladding that can be seen makes us think that it is a new crossover offering from the company. In addition to this, the signature inverted trapezoidal grille can also be seen on the car.

According to the Corporate Vice President – Global Head of Datsun, Vincent Cobee, the company is looking to launch a crossover in India soon and the concept car may just be the car that it is looking at launching here.

The company may also be launching the Redi-Go concept in India soon which is similar to the Renault Kwid in terms of the platform that it is based on. While it is unclear what exactly it is that Datsun will release here, it can be safe to assume that it will be based on the CMF (Common Module Family) platform.
