As Terrano being splurging to be the new flagship of Nissan after the launch, hence there came news that Nissan is planning to increase the prices of its selected models in order to minimise the impact of rupee depreciation and escalating input costs.
Following the hike, it is learnt, the increase, ranging from 1.4% to 2.9%, applies to most variants of Sunny, Micra and Micra Active, and will be effective from October 01, 2013.
Commenting on the same, Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director – Sales & Marketing, Hover Automotive India (Nissan’s National Sales Company in India) said, “The prices are revised to minimize the impact of rupee depreciation and offest rising input costs and raw materials costs due to inflation. The price increase is marginal and we are confident that our valued customers will appreciate our efforts to offer them globally renowned products at affordable prices.”
Lastly, the Indians are immensely waiting for the Terrano to conclude its launch as soon as possible on our local shores. Hence, there lies possibility for most of the promises that were left unfilled by Renault Duster, to be filled in by this compact SUV of Nissan.
