Nissan Posts a Healthy Growth of 141% in May 2014

For many it was a loss and for some it was a win. The 2014 Lok Sabha elections hadn’t resulted good response to automakers for the month/s it was held.

Raising its head up and calling for a toast of celebration, Nissan India announced its continuity of growth. Sold 5,021 vehicles during May 2014, the company rolled out 2,080 vehicles in the same period last year.

Referring to the year-on-year sales numbers it indicated a healthy growth at 141% for the month of May in spite of tough market conditions.

Datsun GO’s contribution to Nissan Group’s May 2014 sales was 1,992 units.

Mr. Kenichiro Yomura – President, Nissan Group of India said, “Our sales performance has been encouraging since the start of FY-14 and our aim is to continue to remain progressive on our performance. Our business imperatives are being fine-tuned by expanding our dealer and service reach, enhancing our after-sales operations and introducing new, exciting products.” Confirming more launches to happen soon, he added, “While Terrano and Datsun GO are our performance drivers, the new Sunny and Datsun GO+ are on the anvil.”

Excitement raised, keep the fingers crossed, Nissan seems to have a blast in the near future!
