Nissan registers 40 percent sales growth in December 2011

Nissan Motors has come out with its Indian sales figures for December 2011. The auto maker has reportedly sold 1,596 vehicle units in the month as against a sale of 1,104 units it had achieved in 2010 December. This indicates a growth of 44% in terms of year to year increase.

Out of these 1,596 units, the India made compact hatchback, the Nissan Micra is the leader of the pack having registered a sale of 1,036 units in the month of December. Its SUNNY sedan has accumulated 533 units of sales in December, 27 units among it being from its Diesel variant that has been launched recently. Since starting selling the SUNNY in the Indian market, Nissan has been able to register total sales of 3,663 units. The remaining numbers are made up by the sales of the X-Trail SUV, its premium sedan the Teana and its sports car, the iconic 370Z.
