Rolls-Royce Ghost that had enjoyed the limited edition in the past auto shows, but now the biggest of all Phantom too is about to see daylight at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show with a one-off edition called as Pinnacle Travel Phantom.
The term Travel is associated to the car with a reason, the China ranked largest outbound travel market for the second year in a row, spending an estimated $125 billion on travel in 2013, as per World Tourism Barometer published by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
“Bespoke is Rolls-Royce and our Chinese customers know it. To celebrate China’s love of travel and the success of Bespoke in China, I am proud to unveil Pinnacle Travel Phantom. This car is a showcase of Rolls-Royce’s pre-eminence in Bespoke design seen through the prism of luxury travel,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
Finest of all on the travel list, the car is painted in Madeira Red complemented by Silver Sand on the lower panels. A unique Madeira Red coach line with an abstract motif is inclined to a moment of train travelling at great speeds invites you onboard for a journey of discovery, said the Rolls Royce in its official letter. Customers can also avail the color schemes of Infinity Black combined with Silver Haze or Melanite combined with Palladium.
On interiors, the place where most of the enhancements are made can be listed down firstly with the throw pillows for rear passengers. The cabin looks dominated by Morello Red and Seashell leather for seats, roofliner, pillars and door cards. Morello Red lambs wool floor mats cossets the interiors for long journey. The Smoke Grey stitches were found running across the overall surrounds acting as motif. The woodwork was looked of an ultimate precision, as the veneer was cut by laser, and are fitted by hand, painstakingly did by a craftsmen who ensemble rightly 230 individual pieces of marquetry into the places. It was flown from glove box and passenger panel to the rear picnic tables and door cappings.
Prices are yet to be announced, and the limitation to the number of units is also under wraps.
