Skoda has confirmed a new SUV for the Indian market which would be launched in 2020. The new SUV would be based on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. The new model would likely be a derivative of the Skoda Vision X concept and would share certain interior features with the Volkswagen T-Cross SUV.
It would be a five-seater SUV with a premium cabin and all digital instrument cluster. It would be powered by a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine with the likelihood of a CNG variant accompanying it.
In all likelihood, the new SUV would be unveiled at next year’s Geneva Motor Show and would go on sale here in India by 2020.
