Skoda Slavia Sketches Teased Before Unveil

Skoda India has shared a few sketches of the Slavia, before it’s official unveiling on November 18th and has teased its fans and enthusiasts, who have been waiting eagerly for the Slavia. Skoda India has officially stopped production of the Rapid, and the Slavia is said to be the Rapid’s Successor for our Indian market.

The Slavia will be manufactured on Volkswagen based modular chassis- the MQB AO IN Platform, which is specifically designed for our Indian markets and is said to be sharing the powertrain with the Kushaq and will be offered in a 1.0 & 1.5 Litre TSI turbo charged petrol engine. The Slavia is not only going to be bigger but more premium and luxurious than the Rapid, as it will also undergo a heavy refreshment in the interiors.

The brand had teased the silhouette and sketches of the car, hinting that it will be bigger in dimension than the Rapid, as the body lines now showcase a bodystyle similar to the Octavia & the Superb. The overall design language of the exteriors speaks for itself and showcases more premium touch than before. The chrome lines running along the glass panes are quite similar to the bold body lines incorporated with the Skoda badge on the fender and the LED headlamps, ensuring a uniformity in the design.

The Alloy wheel design is slightly similar to the Rapid, but has now grown in wheel size and is now much more appealing than before. The sketch suggests that the Slavia will be getting a premium LED tail lamp setup with a rear design similar to the elder Czech and German siblings of the Slavia.

As the C-Class was termed as the baby S-Class, by the looks and the silhouette of the car, the Slavia might just be the baby Superb, in the sedan lineup of Skoda. Skoda has announced to unveil the Slavia on November 18th this month, and launch it later next year in 2022.
