The Land Rover recently displayed the Victoria Beckham Special Edition at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show. It seems that was not at all enough for the firm to be satisfied which is now on an expansion mode. Currently Land Rover is in the process of developing a sporty line-up of Range Rover Evoque. Mr. Gerry McGovern, who is the Design Director of Land Rover, made a statement earlier at the Beijing Auto Show this year about the particular development they intend to introduce to the market. Range Rover Evoque has grabbed a good bunch of market share in the SUV segment with its launch while it has done extremely well compared to its siblings.

Sport version of Range Rover Evoque in progress

The Indian subcontinent couldn’t get to see much of the Range Rover Evoque as the crossover had a huge demand so it was sold off within days of its introduction into the market. The same thing happened everywhere else in the international automobile market. The present version of Range Rover Evoque is one-step ahead of its major rivals like the Audi when it comes to sportiness. Now with the firm is contemplating to take a notch further and give it a sportier avatar, it will definitely get a lot of attention from the critics as well. The style is about to get a major change,  which will also enhance the specifications beneath the hood for better performance in both the petrol and diesel engine variants to increase the strength and torque.

There will be a decrease in the ground clearance by some millimeters for sportier maneuvering and lower deportment. The conceptual Evoque Sport may be unveiled soon by the Land Rover. For now, the firm’s plant in Halewood is running at its full efficiency to fulfill the existing demand for the Evoque. Thus as far as the sporty version is concerned, the Evoque lovers will have to wait a little more.
