The two motorcycles get a greener motor but remain cosmetically and mechanically unchanged. The updated Gixxers could be launched immediately after the lockdown. Bookings for the BS6 Gixxer 250 twins had commenced. Both the bikes BS6 version was unveiled during the Auto Expo 2020.

The two motorcycles remain cosmetically similar to their BS4 predecessors and even get the same colour options. The Gixxer 250 BS6 will be available in two colours: Metallic Matte Black and a dual-tone Metallic Matte Silver/Metallic Matte Black. Its cousin, the Gixxer SF 250 BS6, will come in three colours: Metallic Matte Black, Metallic Matte Platinum Silver, and Metallic Triton Blue with MotoGP livery.
