Since it made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Suzuki YRA made quite a few head roll with its appearance and style. Now the same car will be showcased at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show under a new name – Baleno. To confirm this, Suzuki has releases a teaser video of the Baleno online, which shows the side profile as well as certain parts of the front and rear end of the car. The Baleno is said to be a production ready model and would be sold in various international markets, which also happen to include India.

The new Baleno will be powered by a completely new 1-liter BOOSTERJET turbocharged petrol engine. According to Suzuki insiders, the engine is both powerful as well as fuel efficient. As far as size of the Baleno is concerned, it is said that it will retain the same size spec as the YRA concept which was showcased in Geneva, i.e. 920mm width, 1450mm height and 4023mm length with a wheelbase of 2520mm.

If the Baleno comes to India, it will jostle for market space with the likes of Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20. But before that it will probably hit the UK markets sometime next year.
