Finally the most fuel efficient car from Tata Motors has arrived in the Indian automobile market with an amazing mileage of 25 kmpl, which is certified by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India).  For now this is the smallest sedan with the length of a hatchback as well as the space and look of a complete sedan. Available in both petrol and diesel options this car is set to take the market by storm with nine models in five colors, starlight blue, sterling gold, arctic silver, royal burgundy and porcelain white.

TheMPFi 1193cc,1.19 liter petrol power mill engine with a 32-bit microprocessor churns out a descent 65 PS of power at 5000 rpm and a peak torque of 100 Nm at 2700 rpm. While the DOHC, turbo-diesel, 1399cc, 1.4 liter CR4 Common Rail, 16-valve diesel engine pumps out a massive 70 PS at 4000 rpm with a maximum torque of 140 Nm at 1800-3000 rpm makes it an extremely economic car. Both variant has a 5-speed transmission. The answer to its amazing mileage is the reduction of 10 kilogram in weight and 162mm in length which has consequently improved the mileage. The McPherson suspension comes standard in all variants of this model for both front and rear. This makes for a smooth hassle free ride on bumpy roads. However, the suspension does intrude into the cargo space and has shortened its length as well. With its short length it can be parked easily in small places but it also gives a tight driving experience altogether. The central control is very modern, alloy wheels are equipped with ABS (Anti-lock braking system), rear arm rest, keyless entry and connectivity for Bluetooth is the standard features in the Indigo e-CS.  The mileage is not only because of a lighter and shorter body but also because of the charge combustion working at its maximum, smart engine management, gear ratios completely optimized and equally optimized tires with a good amount of drag reduction has helped the car a lot.

Tata Indigo eCS VX arrives in the market

The new Indigo e-CS VX has become abstemious and stronger with the involvement of a new technology. A 32-bit microprocessor controls the SEMS (smart engine management system) by giving it the precise timing which it requires in order to give a good amount of power and mileage. A freshly designed engine piston, engine head and engine block works under a MCCS (maximum charge combustion system) to make sure a smooth stream of fuel mixture which also decreases the NVH of the car. This in return makes the Indigo stronger and abstemious. With these new technologies the transmission ratios of this car has also been optimized to generate more mileage per liter of fuel.

Indigo e-CS VX is priced at Rs.5,80,399 (ex-showroom New Delhi), the CR4 diesel and e-CS GVX MPFi petrol is priced at Rs.4,97,727 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
