Tata offering heavy discounts on Aria

With the aim to increase sales of its vehicle, Aria, well-known Indian car maker Tata Motors has announced heavy discounts across the grid.

All 2012 versions of the said vehicle (Tata Aria), apart from the base Pure LX, are obtainable at a concession of around Rs 2 lakh.

Some of the 2011 models are also obtainable with a reduction of Rs 2.5 lakh.

And in addition, the buyers will also obtain an Rs 50,000 exchange bonus on 2012 and 2013 vehicles. But, all these exciting offers completely hinge upon the accessibility of stock.

In recent times, the company exhibited an upgraded Aria at the Geneva motor show that should make its way here later this year. The upgrades version of Aria will boast additional power and will witness the launching of an innovative automatic transmission version.

Only 821 Arias got sold from April last year (2012) to January this year (2013) as against 38,000 vehicle units of its instant competitor, the Mahindra XUV500.

Offering discounts without any festival period indicates that the firm is making attempts to clear up its stagnating stocks.
