The Indian SUV market has a plethora of choices with almost every renowned manufacturer across the globe making contributions to this segment. To this market comes the latest Tata Sumo Grande, which its Indian manufacturer Tata Motors has great expectations from. We take a comparative look at this vehicle vis-à-vis the Force One to identify its potential.

Exteriors:

Tata Sumo Grande:
The latest Tata Sumo Grande SUV has been blessed with masculine looks and has been provided with all the comforts that can make it a preferred family car. It has been successful in complimenting the high standards set by its manufacturer, Tata Motors. The SUV has been able to exceed expectations in terms of external looks. The overall exterior design can be said to be superb and exhibits masculinity and sportiness. Its V-shaped front effectively compliments its looks. The rear has been provided with a clean design with its spare wheel kept tucked under its body. The tail lamps at the rear are definitely eye-catchers.

Force One:
The Force One has been provided with a boxy design, which makes it look a bit outdated. However, it has a masculine stance and looks good with its chrome grille and large fog lamps. However, the difference between its wheel and wheel arches is a bit too much.  The looks are not something that is going to have a huge recall value.

Interiors:

Tata Sumo Grande:
The SUV comes with three seat rows with foldable rear seats that can be opened in ratio of 1:2. Ample space has been provided to the interiors along with sufficient legroom. There has been no change made as far as the dashboard goes with the version present in the old Sumo. Height adjustable driver seat has been provided. The steering has also been made adjustable with its design ensuring smooth handling.

Force One:
The interiors are spacious to say the least and this holds true for all three rows. In particular, its rear seats offer superb legroom that can easily make it beat all other SUVs in this aspect. The dashboard is a mixture of beige and fake wood, with the latter indeed looking very artificial. In all, the car disappoints, with respect to its price range, on the interiors it offers.

Power and Handling:

Tata Sumo Grande:
The SUV is powered by a 2.2L DICOR engine. This turbocharged engine offers greater power and smoothness. The engine has been mated to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox and can be shifted smoothly. It has retained the same suspension and chassis that has been provided to the SUMO VICTA. The Tata Sumo Grande can offer a maximum power of 118Bhp.
