Toyota’s new hatchback, the new generation Aurisis almost ready to run on the streets. Now, it is coming to the Paris Auto Show for everyone to have a closer look. Toyota has already announced the pricing of the car. The base model will cost you Rs.12.54 lakh and the hybrid model will be priced at Rs.18.82 lakh. There are total of four options in the Auris model -two in petrol and two in diesel engines.
The petrol engines will be a 1.33-litre engine producing 98bhp and a 1.6-litre engine delivering 130bhp. For diesel,there will be a 1.4-litre D-4D diesel producing a power of 88bhP and 2.0-litre D-4D that churns out 122bhp. The Hybrid model will get power from a 1.8-litre petrol – electric hybrid creating 134bhp. All the models will get a standard 6-speed transmission gearbox. However, the Hybrid model may be equipped with the E-CVT automatic gearbox and the 1.6-litre petrol model will get Toyota’s Multidrive S CVT, which is optional. Other valuable facilities in the car are Hill-start Assist Control, new follow-me-home lighting system, 7 airbags, LED daytime running lights and Vehicle stability control.
The base model called Active, features automatic air conditioning, an audio system with USB ports, Aux connection, electric front windows, and electrically powered exterior mirrors. The next model, Icon features 6-speaker audio system with DAB tuners, leather covered gear lever and steering wheel, electric windows, fog lamps and rear view camera.
The higher model, the Sport, will get sporty front seat, 17-inch wheels, front grille, exhaust trim, rear diffuser, and a rear privacy glass. The top model, Excel, has dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, Cruise Control, park assist along with electric folding mirrors, rain and light sensors and many more. All the Auris models will be stuffed with Toyota Touch and Go with satellite navigation and stylish sunroof.
