Toyota launches Fortuner 5 Speed automatic version with the price tag of Rs. 22.93 lakh

Toyota Fortuner is making wonders for Toyota in India. Until now it was available only with 4 speed automatic variant but now company has decided to reveal its 5 speed automatic transmission variant of the SUV in Indian market. The vehicle will be priced anywhere between Rs. 22.33 lakh and Rs. 22.93 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Booking for the vehicle is scheduled to start from Jan 18th.

Speaking about the new vehicle, Sandeep Singh, MD and COO (Marketing and Commercial) said that to enhance the Toyota Fortuner unmatched presences in the Indian market, Toyota has brought forward the new five speed transmission version of the SUV. The 5 speed version will further add to the luxury and drive quality of the Fortuner.

With the launch of Toyota Fortuner automatic company has also made it clear that it will continue the production of Fortuner TRD Sportivo. Sportivo was launched during the festive season as a special edition model. Initially Fortuner TRD Sportivo was launched as a limited edition but due to the overwhelming response from throughout the country has compelled the company to keep selling the SUV in India.

Mr. Singh said that due to the unprecedented response and popularity of the SUV, company has decided to regularize the sale of the Sportivo for the person who aspires for unique sporty SUV. He further added that the booking will be starting from the January 18th 2013.

Prices of the new automatic version of the Fortuner are:

  • Toyota Fortuner 5-speed AT 4×2 will be priced at Rs. 22,33,000
  • Toyota Fortuner 5 speed AT 4×2 TRD Sportivo will be priced at Rs. 22,93,000
