UK Plays Host to Simply Italian Show

The Beaulieu Arena in UK recently played host to the ‘Simply Italian’ occasion, an Italian auto show held at National Motor Museum grounds. The even began on May 22, and saw more than 200 motor creations on display for the public. This was the first edition of the Simply Italian show.

The Event Manager at Beaulieu’s, Judith Maddox, said that this was their first day of hosting Simply Italian. They were very happy with the enthusiasm generated for this event from Italian bike owners. This has given them a strong foundation, on which they will create next year’s event.

Members of Lancia and Ferrari club also graced the event. A small number of Lambretta owners from the scooter club of Hampshire were also present. The Meridian group also showcased many models, which included everything from a compact 500 model to the Ferrari 458 Italia. There were also many Italian cars on display at Display Marquee courtesy of the South Hats Model Auto Club.

The event saw a cavalcade as well as a display section in Beaulieu’s main arena, which included 15 two wheelers and cars from the chosen participants. The 166 Ferrari, a 1949 model, owned by Bournemouth’s Clive Bate, was conferred a ‘Pride of Ownership’ award. He was presented with a trophy along with a cash prize of 100 pound by Lord Montague.
