The German car company Volkswagen has just introduced its most successful Vento Diesel in the Comfortline trim level this week on Monday in India. The Company already has Highline and Trendline trim level for its Indian customers. This is a middle variant of the Vento Diesel which is expected to fill the vacuum between the base-end and top-end variants of the car. The Vento diesel comfortline has been launched for Rs.8.56 (ex-showroom Maharashtra) and Rs.8.74 lakh for the rest of the country. Currently the company has Jetta, Beetle, Polo, Passat, Phaeton and Touareg in its line-up of vehicles for the Indian automobile market other than the Vento.
With the 1598cc, 1.6 liter four cylinder CRDI diesel engine,giving a maximum power of 105 PS at 4400 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm at 2500 rpm, the Vento Diesel Comfortline capable of achieving a top speed of 186 kmph, which is amazing considering it has 5-speed manual transmission. The mileage is an extra add on the already impressive features that this vehicle comes with. The fuel efficiency figures of the Vento Diesel Comfortline stands at 15.8 kmpl in the city and 20.5 kmpl on the highway. The new Vento comes with features like central armrest for the passengers at rear, height adjustable driver’s seat, front and rear fog lamps, integrated in-car entertainment systems, colored ORVMs which could be electrically adjusted and exterior door handles. ABS, airbags, alloy wheels, central locking are a few extra features in it, which are usually found on the Highline variants of the Vento.
