Virgin Enters Formula E

Formula E is taking the world by storm. Mahindra Racing joined the Formula E recently, and now it’s the Virgin who announced its entry for the same.

Virgin revealed its plans of participation yesterday at the calendar’s launch. For the occasion Formula E said, Virgin is the ninth team to enter its inaugural season of races.

First season of Formula E is slated to take off on 13th September 2014 in Beijing, China. Alex Tai is reported to be heading the U-based Virgin team, while Virgin founder Richard Branson is also learnt to be seen alongside him on most of the fields.

For the reminding note, previous 8-teams which confirmed their entry for Formula E are: Andretti Autosport, Dragon Racing, China Racing, Super Aguri, Mahindra Racing, Drayson Racing, e.dams and Audi Sport ABT. Meanwhile, only one of the team is left to be signed for the first season of Formula E, while already selected ones are set to place their pilots behind the steering of Spark-Renault SRT_01E worth 268 bhp.
