Volkswagen Sales Up 57% In May 2015

It took an uphill task for Volkswagen India to reach this spot and post an outcome which its masters in Europe were waiting for. Finally, during the month of May VW India reported an increase of 57% in sales with 4,167 cars sold. Clocking this wide gap in sales against the past year, it came surprising for everyone to take a note of that, VW has backed this success due to the launch of new Jetta, and the performance Polo – GT TSI.

Yesteryear, the same month recorded sales of 2,657 cars, which posts a clear picture the new car in lineup had finally added oomph to the brand to surge ahead in the market. Sharing his insights about the achievement, Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited said, it is a delighting moment for Volkswagen to announce the achievement of 57% in the month of May 2015. Apparently, buyers in India now started noticing the positivity of German quality and techniques used to make every VW car. Thus, VW had also inaugurated a new showroom in Mumbai last month. Adding the last bit on the top is its Polo GT TSI, which is a class leader due its ultimately refined petrol engine combined to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
