Volkswagen has always been related to movies whether it is through Beetle, Jetta or Polo.The bond has always been strong between the two. This time the firm has come up with something extremely unique for its customers, the movie goers, Facebook users and the crew of Go Goa Gone and that is a car audition, just like any other audition where a real person or an animal is auditioned for a movie flick or TV soap. Here a machine on wheels will be auditioned for the movie, which would then be starred in the movie with Saif Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu.The number of the car will be displayed everywhere in the movie as well as in the movie credits. This audition is being initiated exclusively on the Volkswagen Facebook page ‘My Car Superstar‘. Here the customer has to upload a photo of their Volkswagen car and explain why their car could be a supercar. The director and the leading actors will select the winner and the winning car will be driven by the lead actors of Go Goa Gone in the shooting of the moviein Goa and it will appear in a song sequence too.
The movie is a thriller comedy zombie flick, which got delayed a bit in the beginning because Kunal Khemu got injured in a freak accident last year.
Head, Marketing and Public Relations, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Mr. Lutz Kothe said on this particular initiative that,”it’s an exciting competition and a very unique method to involve all our customers who has a Volkswagen. The firm is very sure that the winner of this contest will definitely enjoy the experience”.
Actor, Vir Das also remarked, “we are very excited to be in association with the first of its kind in the whole world-the first audition of the car. Let’s see which car makes it”. ‘My Car Super Car‘ audition will end on 31st March 2012.So hurry up if you own a Volkswagen.
