Mercedes Benz GLA Concept had been unveiled at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show recently, and since then it is on the verge of hype due to the lacking of product in that particular segment, which is now booming at in incredible rate in India as well abroad. The niche compact SUV range is majorly occupied by BMW since 2010 due to the launch of X1, then followed by Audi particularly Q3 in the same horizon. Audi Emerges as the No.1 Luxury Car Manufacturer in India

April had ended and the sales reports of various carmakers had started pouring in, but the Audi had stood frugal in the horizon, past swooping BMW and Mercedes Benz for now with ease. Claiming the phenomenal grip of market share in the recent times, Audi had registered a sale of 770 units for April 2013, with growth of 37% against the sales of same period last year, referring to 562 units in April 2012.
It is not just the month of April that this German carmaker had bumped in so hugely, if viewed on the bigger picture, FY 2012-2013 had witnessed 9350 units sold, an increment of 51.5% against the 6169 units in FY 2011-2012.

Audi zooms past BMW as top player in Indian luxury vehicle segment

Audi has turned out to be the number one luxury vehicle seller in the Indian market as it has overpowered its competitor BMW with the aim to gain control in one of the globe’s most hopeful market.
The headship for German manufacturer comes in a period of 12 months of its edging past Mercedes Benz, the other associate German company.
BMW sold around 1,410 vehicle units during the initial quarterly period of this year (January-March 2013), a downslope of 40 per cent as compared to the 2,369 vehicle units it sold during the corresponding period of 2012.
Audi sold approximately 2,616 vehicle units during the corresponding period at an augmentation of 15 per cent as against the 2,269 vehicle [...]
Audi Q8 Rumored To Hit Markets Shortly & Challenge Range Rover Sport

As per reports, auto giant, Audi wishes to fill each and every possible sport utility vehicle and crossover position from Q1 to Q8.
At this year’s (2013) Shanghai Auto Show, the company’s development Chief Wolfgang Dürheimer threw some light upon the topic.
As per the reports, the Audi Q8 will give tough competition to the well known Range Rover Sport.
The report added that the Q8 could be commercialized as a high-end version of the A8 and would ride on the MLB podium that will join the future Toureg, Cayenne, and the Lamborghini Urus in addition.
Dürheimer said, “We can go bigger than we have with the Q7, and we can all witness that this segment is on the increase.”
