The XC60 became Volvo’s bestselling edition in the year 2011. To commemorate this, the Swiss automaker launched a special-edition model, dubbed the Inscription. The car is an upscale version of the XC60 and is launched as the 2013 model.
The XC60 gets a few luxury and dynamic improvements thanks to several key enhancements borrowed from the C70 that was launched at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
This includes, semi-aniline leather covered seats, colors including Marble White, Toscana Tan, Off-black, or Soft Beige. Other interior elevations inside the Inscription include front headrests and tread plates with the ‘Inscription’ logo, leather front instrument, door insert complementing to seat color, power adjustable lumbar support, and an optional charcoal headliner.
Rolling out as the 2013 mode, the Volvo XC60 borrows the same engine as the previous model. The base model is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six cylinder engine, pumping out up to 240 hp and 236 lb-ft torque. Volvo also offers a turbocharged 3.0-liter model with 300 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque besides the sporty R-Design trim, giving out 325 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque.
Volvo also offers special effect paintjob and 20 inch alloys. The 2013 Volvo XC60 Inscription hits the showrooms after summer, after the official debut at the 2012 Leipzig Auto Show taking place in Germany this June.
