The mass selling models of BMW in the eight-cylinder and twelve-cylinder versions of the series of X5, 5, 6, 7 and X6 with the small car of MINI marquee, will be recalled very soon by the firm. Almost 9200 units will be recalled by the firm in this segment.

This recall has been started after noticing a probable fault in the cooling pump of the car that has been seen in one or two models. The manufacturing period of the models that are to be recalled is between March 2011 and April 2011. The firm has admitted that there is afair chance of the circuit board being overheated due to the faulty cooling pump and this may further lead to the ebullition of fire in either the pump area or in any of the engine compartments.
