We talk about the upcoming BMW 3-Series Facelift

The current generation of the BMW 3-Series (G 20), has been in the global market since 2018. The facelift was expected to be showcased at auto shows this year and before its official reveal, a few pictures have been leaked online, suggesting the changes in the 3-Series. The facelift model can be expected in India by 2023.

The major highlight that is visible on the front is the reworked persona of the 3-Series, with the redesigned bumper, grilles, air dam, and the LED headlamps. The grille and dams are much wider and bolder than before. The grille gets a satin chrome finish, which reduces the glare of the chrome and offers a soothing visual appeal.

The rear end remains almost untouched with a similar design as the ongoing model. BMW is expected to offer the facelifted model with a new design of alloy wheels, a different finish, and design elements for the trims.

As this will be a facelift, mechanical updates are not really expected from BMW at this point in time, as their current engine line-up for the model has been serving their need decently. It will continue with one diesel engine and two petrol engine offerings, with diesel being the best-seller till now, because of its superb tuning, which delivers great performance while offering double digits fuel efficiency. The 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine produces 190 HP and delivers a fuel efficiency of 20.3 Km/l.

There have been no comments from the brand about the product as of now, we expect it to be offered with a few additions in the feature list, however, even without any additions, the 3-Series comes well kitted even now, with features like gesture control, ambient lighting, and live cockpit.

The BMW 3-Series facelift is expected to launch in 2023.

 Highlights

  •  Redesigned Bumper & Grille
  • 2.0L Turbo Diesel – 190 HP
