2023 BMW 7-Series Revealed | Features | Design | Engines |

Learn all about the upcoming facelift of the BMW 7-Series.

Within a few months of its launch globally, we can expect an official introduction of the flagship sedan in India.

The new BMW 7-Series has grown in all aspects, dimensions, technology, and powertrains. It is not recognizable or familiar with the outgoing model, at all. The size of the grille seems to be getting bigger and bigger with each model. The front grille seen on the new 7-Series is by far the biggest grille, BMW has ever designed. The grille also features BMW’s ‘Iconic Lighting System’. The split headlamp setup shows its strong ties with the X7 facelift in terms of design language. The new design language is indeed bold and intimidating, but it will take some time to get used to, as it is too futuristic, almost looking like a concept vehicle being driven on road.

The door handles on the 7th generation 7-Series have been replaced with an internal touchpad and electronic mechanism. The other technological marvel in the 7-Series would be the curved touchscreen- instrument cluster, futuristic interior design & the 8K ‘cinema screen’ installed for the rear passengers. The screen is installed within the roof and it folds back itself when not in use.

The powertrains will also witness a few additions, as the upcoming 7-Series will feature hybrid technology with both diesel and petrol engines. The all-time best seller, the 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine, now gets hybrid assistance and complies with Euro 6D policies in terms of emission. This engine will develop 299 HP and can do a sprint of 0-100 Km/h in just 6.43 seconds.

The 7-Series will be offered in three M variants, M Sport, M Sport Pro & M Performance. The M variants will feature blacked-out styling elements along with a bigger set of wheels. The standard 19’’ alloy wheels will be replaced with optional 22” inch wheels.

The 7th generation 7-Series is expected to launch in India next year after its global debut. It will rival the new generations of the Audi A8 & the Mercedes Benz S-Class.
