Mangalore is the latest city to get a Mercedes Benz outlet as the company opens its 74th dealership in the country. Spread across 4,500 square feet, this dealership took Mercedes 10 months to build with an investment of Rs.1.8 million. The dealership has been opened in partnership with Sundaram Motors Mangalore and is located at Summit, Airport Road, Marryhill.
This year has been particularly good for Mercedes customers as the company has already launched ten cars this year, with the S 63 AMG being the latest to join the ranks. The company is now trying to spread its dealership network across India to reach out to every nook and cranny of this nation in order to sell these products.
Amongst premium luxury carmakers, Mercedes has the widest footprint in India with seventy four dealerships across the nation. The company is in the process of opening more as part of their ’15 in 15’ strategy whereby it wants to open 15 dealerships in 2015. The new dealership in Mangalore is part of that strategy and houses a Mercedes Café, customer lounge and accessory display area.
