Ford Figo Aspire Launched in India Starting at Rs.4.89 Lakh

As we had reported earlier, Ford has launched its Figo Aspire sedan in India at a starting price of Rs.4.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car will be made available in both petrol and diesel versions totaling in four different trim levels – Trend, Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Plus.

As far as engines are concerned, the petrol Aspire will come powered by a 1.2-liter 67bhp engine, while the diesel variant will be powered by a 99bhp 1.5-liter TDCi turbocharged engine. Peak torque figures for petrol and diesel engines are 112Nm and 215Nm. Here we would like to inform you that the diesel engine fitted in the Aspire is so far the most powerful engine in this segment. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. But an even more powerful 1.5-liter petrol will be made available with segment topping power and torque of 110bhp and 136Nm. This car will have a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Ford Figo Aspire Launched

As far as mileage figures is concerned, the petrol Aspire can hop for 18.16km on every liter of fuel, while the figure is 25.83kmpl for the diesel car. Mileage for the 1.5-liter petrol stands at 17kmpl.

The Ford Aspire will fight for market space against the likes of Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Maruti Dzire, Tata Zest etc.
