Acura has unveiled the NSX Roadster as a part of its multi-picture deal to have its vehicles featured in a series of Marvel superhero movies. After having featured in movies like Captain America and Thor, the Japanese brand will be featured in the upcoming movie, The Avengers.
Superstar, Robert Downey Jr. was recently seen cruising on the sets of the movie in the NSX roadster. The company claims to have created the roadster especially for the movie, however, after the Honda owned brand filed a patent on the design of the roadster, the production model may not be too far away.
The fictitious government agency, S.H.I.E.L.D (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) will be riding in the NSX, MDX, ZDX, RDX and TL. Moreover, as part of the promotion, the company plans to launch an online game simulator, allowing the player to control Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor. The players can win themselves gift vouchers, movie tickets and a trip to New York City.
In India, The Avengers releases on 27 April, 2012. Meanwhile, check out a clip from the movie featuring the Acura RDX.
