Italian design house, Zagato has reinvented the Aston Martin V12 Vantage for the Geneva debut.
Christened, the V12 Zagato, it is built using the process developed for the engineering marvel One-77 supercar. Whereas the mechanicals are borrowed from the V12 Vantage, a 6.0-litre V12 engine, pumping over 510 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the motor is a six-speed manual transmission, propelling the Zagato from dead to 100kmph in 4.2 seconds and up to a speed of 305 kmph.
Zagato-penned body panel include the hood, doors and double-bubble roof that are handcrafted from aluminum. Others like the front and rear fenders are done with carbon fiber. This exclusive luxury sport takes about 2,000 man-hours for complete assembly.
On the inside, the Zagato features Bride of Weir leather, hand-stitched quilting and extensive use of carbon fiber. While the One-77 was exclusive for 77 Aston fans around the world, this Italian designed coupe is available in 150 copies, and priced at $540,000.
