Electric Vehicle market is intensifying, as the industry is shifting from conventional fuel based vehicles to Electric Vehicles. In 2019, we saw many renowned automobile manufacturers launching electric vehicles. Bajaj got their iconic scooter Chetak in an electric avatar and now Bengaluru-based tech and electric two-wheeler start-up Ather Energy who had launched their electric scooter Ather 450 last year, will be launching a new product, as a follow up to the company’s Ather 450 electric scooter named 450X.
The new electric scooter, to be called the Ather 450X, is expected to have new features, better specifications, and more intelligent features than the Ather 450 that is currently on sale. While Ather Energy has not revealed any details about the new scooter, we expect the Ather 450X to be launched later in January 2020, while the company has already started pre-orders.
The regular Ather 450 electric scooter is powered by a 2.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The electric motor generates 7 PS of peak power and 20.5 Nm of peak torque. Also, it comes with two riding modes, which are Sport and Ride.The scooter has a claimed acceleration from 0 to 60 kmph in 3.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 80 kmph, with a range of 55-75 km on a single charge Expect the 450X to offer a bit more, without the central stand that Ather mentions!
