In this way, the Audi Q7 will become the fourth SUV to be constructed in the Indian market by the Ingolstadt car manufacturer after Audi A4, A6 and Q5.

Frank added up that a good plant infrastructure, resourceful working procedures, a skilled personnel and a strong logistics situation together with the zooming growth of the country were the key constituents that prompted Audi Group to swell operations at the Aurangabad facility.

Mid-2013, Audi proposes to begin fabrication of Audi Q3 from the same plant that would be the 3rd Q model to be constructed in the local market accompanying Q5 and Q7.

“This would diminish the waiting period for the clientele in addition to permitting us offer a wider choice of editions in the Indian market,” explicated Michael Perschke, Audi India head.

Perschke added that the increasing demand for the sport utility vehicle models comprising Audi Q3, Q5, Audi Q7 has had a big impact on the brand’s expansion in the Indian market.

“In the first 10 month period of 2012, we augmented sales in the country’s market by around 55 per cent to 7,273 vehicle units, exceeding its 2011’s record sales of 5,511 vehicle units,” Perschke also said.

At the moment, Audi Group is selling A4, A6, A7 Sportback, A8L, Q3, Q5, Q7, S4, RS5 Coupe and TT Coupe and supercars Audi R8 and R8 Spyder.
