Audi R8 5.2 FSI launches the much awaited V10 engine in India

The German luxury car maker, Audi, announced the introduction of the all new R8 5.2 FSI for India, which was awaited with bated breath by the auto buffs, in the process consolidating its leadership status in the super sports car segment.

Built with (ASF) Audi space framework design which is very light weight and propelled by a V10 Quattro engine powerful enough to zoom the Audi R8 V10 from 0-100 kmph in a flash of 3.9 seconds, the car boasts of a top speed of 316 kmph. Rs 1.32.49000(ex-showroom Maharashtra) will be the monetary value of the Audi R8 5.2 FSI.

Each Audi R8 5.2 FSI demonstrates a marvel in engineering excellence and is hand built. It is been blended with utmost skill with various design cues which in turn enables the auto maker to establish new benchmarks for performance in sport car segment.

The new Audi R8 5.2 FSI finds its root in the great motor sport tradition of the Audis. It is available in R-tronic or manual six-speed transmission which helps the driver to switch gears in a flash with the help of the rocker switches on the steering.

The high performance Audi R8 5.2 FSI weighs a mere 1564 kgs, without any compromises on the driving quality part, safety and handling standards, as it is built in the Audi Space Frame (ASF) design with aluminum. A refreshing new side blade has been carved out in the exteriors to maximize performance and increase air intake. The all LED-headlight is another of its distinctive design highlight of the Audi R8 5.2 FSI.

With a gigantic list of standard equipment and built by hand completely, the Audi R8 5.2 FSI is in its finest details, customizable. This provides a performance car enthusiast the ultimate premium experience. The aesthetic leather packages accentuate the luxuriousness of the Audi R8 5.2 FSI.

Achieving a record growth of almost 81 percent in 2010, Audi sold 3003 units. For the New Year, the company will continue to expand the product line-up and in the process deliver award winning and path breaking vehicles for customers in India. The scheduled opening of showroom in Ludhiana and Delhi is the result of Audi’s focus at strengthening the dealer network in the county. 2010 saw the company’s showroom inaugurated at Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Audi A4, Audi Q5, Audi A6, Audi Q7, Audi A8, Audi TT and the sports car Audi R8 are the model that are up for grabs in India. Audi’s entire range is made available across India in Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Ludhiana, Mumbai West, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Pune. Further showrooms are touted to be opened at Coimbatore, Indore, Surat, Mumbai South, and Lucknow.
