R8 has been in news for quite a long time. Before the launch of the R8 facelift, Audi is presenting the US market with the exclusive edition of the car. Audi will be offering 20 Exclusive 2012 Selection Edition R8 V8 vehicles scheduled to arrive later this month.
The new version comes with revised interiors, new exciting exterior colors, carbon fiber exterior splitters, 19-inch titanium 5 arm double spoke wheel, red colored brake calipers etc. The cabin houses crimson red elements and contrast stitching, thicker contoured leather covered multi-functional steering wheel and exclusive leather navigation surround. The Audi R8 V8 will be powered by a 4.2 liter FSI engine capable of delivering about 430bhp at 7900 rpm.
However the 2012 exclusive R8 V10 version comes with white exteriors with contrasting sideblades, exterior mirrors and 19 inch bi-colour wheels. The cabin contains exclusive contour steering and leather navigation surround. The V10 version will be powered by a 5.2 liter FSI engine that produces about 525 bhp at 8000rpm.
The exclusive versions can be coupled with 6 speed manual transmission or Automatic R tronic transmission. The version of Audi R8 equipped with ultra-weight and Audi Quattro technology delivers superior speed, performance and handling.
The price of 2012 Exclusive Selection Edition with manual transmission is USD 137,700 which equals about Rs. 76.22 lakh, the R8 V8 R-Tronic version is priced at USD 146.800 that is about Rs. 81.24 lakh. The V10 version with manual transmission is tagged with about USD 161,500 which approximately equals to around Rs. 89.39 lakhs and the R8 V10 R Tronic version comes at USD 170,600 which is near to Rs. 94.45 lakhs.
