The S5 Sportback has been launched by Audi and it comes at a price tag of Rs.62.95 lakh. Based on the Audi A5, which has been selling across the globe, the S5 Sportback will look to take on the Indian performance car market which has been picking up quite a bit of speed lately.

The car comes powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol mill which delivers 328bhp in terms of power as well as 440Nm in terms of torque. The engine is the same as that on the S4 and is mated to a seven speed S-tronic gearbox. The car also has an all wheel drive system and moves from 0 to 100kmph in as little as five seconds.

The car looks pretty awesome as well and is a five seater sedan which is a departure from most other performance cars. The S5 Sportback comes with black premium interiors and a flat bottom steering wheel with the S5 badging on view almost everywhere. The car also comes loaded with tons of features that include an electric sunroof, automatic climate control as well as automatic headlamps.

India is seeing a huge growth in the performance car segment and Mercedes and BMW have already been making noises with their AMG and M range respectively. Audi too has joined the race with the RS6 Avant and now the S5 Sportback that will be taking on the C450 AMG from Mercedes that is likely to be launched by the end of this year.
