Trailblazer to be Launched by Chevrolet in India Today

The new Trailblazer is going to be launched by Chevrolet in India today. The car is seven-seater SUV and has been quite anticipated for a while now.

Powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, the Trailblazer will be capable of producing 200bhp in terms of power as well as 500Nm in terms of torque. The car will come mated to a six speed automatic transmission with only the rear wheel drive option being available here in India.

In terms of design, the SUV is similar to the Chevrolet design philosophy. The front has a split mesh grille and the car comes with sweptback headlamps that are the edges of the tail bonnet. The raked windscreen as well as the smooth roofline adds to the overall appearance of the car as well. When it comes to the interiors, the Trailblazer has a black dashboard as well as full leather upholstery as well as an LCD display in the centre. Features in addition to this include ABS, dual airbags, hill descent control as well as traction control.

The SUV will be taking on the likes of the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe as well as the Ford Endeavour here in the Indian markets. The car will be the flagship for the manufacturer in the segment and will be imported as CBU units from Thailand. Prices are expected to start from Rs.32 lakh.
