BMW 3-Series unveiled by Sachin Tendulkar

Cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar, unveiled the all-new BMW 3-series sedan in India yesterday. In the exclusive launch event, the sixth-generation of the premium sedan came out of the box. The car, produced through CKD route at the company’s Chennai facility will hit the dealerships across India from the current month.

BMW Group India’s President, Dr Andreas Schaaf stated that the all new BMW 3 Series is a vehicle that has an unbeatable profile and is born from pioneering technology, a beautiful design and a lot of passion. In addition to the powerful performance and increased efficiency, the all new BMW 3 Series offers unparalleled comfort and space. He added that since its inception, the BMW 3 Series has been the undisputable leader in its segment and there is no doubt that the sixth-generation of the BMW 3 Series will surpass the magnificent success that its predecessors received. The new BMW 3 Series will establish a new benchmark in the Indian luxury car segment and contribute to BMW’s winning streak in India.

The sixth-generation of the world’s most successful sedan has been reported to be available in Sport Line and Luxury Line. The former design scheme fits perfectly into the degree of sporty styling and interiors, while the latter enables its riders to enjoy a perfect blend of elegant contours and luxurious features. With such options available, customers can now get themselves the car of their choice.

Sachin Tendulkar to BMW maiden brand ambassador

The BMW 3-Series has been equipped with the new ECO PRO to ensure accomplished driving and better fuel efficiency. The powerful engine of the 328i can take the car to a speed of 100kmph from standstill in just 6.1seconds, while the same for 320d is 7.6secnds.

The German automaker has made the eight-speed transmission 3-Series available in both petrol and diesel variants. While the diesel domain has been named 320d, the 328i corresponds to thee petrol avatar. The official ex-showroom prices of the trim levels in India are as:

  • BMW 320d: Rs 28,90,000
  • BMW 320d Sport Line:   Rs 31,50,000
  • BMW 320d Luxury Line: Rs 31,50,000
  • BMW 320d Luxury Plus: Rs 36,90,000
  • BMW 328i Sport Line:    Rs 37,90,000
