BMW i3 gets 90,000 test drive request in just 1 day!

BMW i3 had been revealed in 3 major cities of the world, but to respond, the Bavarian carmaker had got 90,000 requests for the test drive of same. Well, the shocking piece of news is not that the car had received this much of test drive request; instead it is that the vehicle had garnered so much of enquiry within “24 hours” after the revelation.

Terming the BMW i3 for the “sheer driving pleasure” tagline, i3 has the weight distribution ratio of 50:50, based on the rear wheel layout it possesses turning radius of just 9.86 meters, making it to maneuver the city very stress free. ‘Unbeatable traction’ and the ‘optimum maneuverability’ may become its USO when it will be rolled out in different markets of the world.

The single-pedal control system of i3 is assisted with the 168hp electric motor that gets into the recuperation mode too, which is being activated at the press of the pedal. Also equipped with the Driving Assistant Plus, Parking Assistant, a rear view camera and Speed Limit Info, the i3’s battery can be replenished using either a BMW supplied wall-box or a conventional domestic power socket.

A full charge takes 8 hours to complete, but the 50kW fast charger will make it to attain its 80% tendency in just half an hour itself.
