Tata Aria, the first Indian crossover is now being available with discount of up to Rs. 2 lakhs offered by dealers and includes a cash discount of Rs. 1.60 lakh with exchange bonus of up to Rs. 40,000. The base Aria will be available for the price of Rs. 9.9 lakhs for two-wheel models. It is easily the best vehicle to be launched by Tata Motors facility, however it didn’t manage to put sales chart on fire. It also introduced the two-wheel drive version of Aria that showed great response from customers. After the introduction of Mahindra XUV500, the sales of Aria have taken another dip. To push Aria, the dealers of Tata are now providing discount of Rs. 2 lakhs.
Powering the Tata Aria is a 2.2 litre DICOR BS IV Compliant engine with maximum output of 140ps of power at 4000 rpm and 320 newton meters of torque at 1700 to 2700 rpm. The engine is teamed up with Synchromesh with overdrive transmission, which is quite communicative and responsive. It comes equipped with plenty of features and equipments, but readers believe that expensive price and lack of eye-catching design has led them not consider the Aria; it didn’t gained good reputation in the market.
The Tata Aria is designed and engineered to deliver excellent driving experience on the road. It comes with extensive features, which provide you with highest level of protection. Convenience and comfort of passengers is one area, where Aria truly excels. Special care has been taken in engineering and design of all elements, which impact passenger and driver comfort. The bulky body construction is a large turn for most buyers that looks quite imposing and massive than other models in its class.
Originally, the introduction of four-wheel drive Tata Aria, the two-wheel drive has been available as late addition. Nevertheless, a good take-off, the sales of Aria hit rock bottom with minimal 140 cars last month.
