15th August, Independence day, is soon approaching. We all have our own ways of celebrating this moment. Some hoist flags while some distribute sweets. Some share slogan while some narrate history. The automobile manufacturers too have their own little ways in which they celebrate this occasion. Realizing that it is an emotional day for Indians, car manufacturers have started offering special schemes to their customers to get the best out of this auspicious day.

Fiat is an Italian automobile manufacturer which was established in the year 1899 in Turin. The company has completed more than 100 years of existence. It became a prominent shareholder in many companies. In the year 1968 it took ownership of Lancia and then moved onto acquiring Ferrari in the year 1969. Then in the year 1986, Fiat took charge of Alfa Romeo. Then it moved onto obtain Maserati in the year 1993. In the year 2011, Fiat became shareholder in Chrysler.

Fiat has launched a new “Freedom drive” to celebrate the Independence day. Under this programme the company will allow the customers to drive in Fiat cars to any location of their choice for whole 3 nights. This programme also allows the customers to benefit from an exchange offer which will allow the customers to avail benefits of upto Rs 1 lac. In addition to this, Fiat is also offering its customers free check-ups for their Fiat cars through Fiat’s “Pit Stops” in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Pune, Chennai and Ahmedabad on the 14th and the 15th of August.
