Riding high on the spirit of Abarth, Fiat is aiming to encash it wisely than before. Reported to have plotted its unsuccessful hatchback Punto Evo under this performance division, one can now spot clearly how the future of Fiat will fare under the performance guise.

Spotted by lensmen in India, one can see the Punto Evo is wearing every needful livery of Abarth. Alongside, there is also the Avventura which too may find itself boarded with the same nameplate (Abarth). Thus, both cars aren’t only covered under the heap of cosmetic makeover; there is also performance makeover underneath the bonnet.

On Punto Evo, one can find the colored wing mirrors, red decals on lower side of doors, Abarth wheels, chromed exhaust tip and T-badge on the tail gate. However, Avventura isn’t holding any differentiation apart from the T-badge at the tail gate and chromed exhaust tip.

Under the bonnet, both Fiats are bound to carry the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine from Linea T-Jet to produce the output of 135bhp. Hence, one can expect the disc brakes on front and rear for Punto Evo to handle that extra package of power and stiffer suspension for a more pliant ride.

Going by the reports, Fiat will launch Abarth performance brand in August 2015. The first model to roll off under this badge is Abarth 595, high-performance version of Abarth 500, the performance version of Fiat 500.
