Grand i10X Launched In Indonesia

Crossovers had moved to a serious role across the segment of hatchbacks. Now, reported of creeping slightly towards the compact cars, one can see the first example of the category from Indonesia. Hyundai had officially launched crossover/off-road version of Grand i10 called ‘Grand i10X’. This compact car of Hyundai had turned into a lucrative option for the first time buyers, or entry-level segment in the market it is launched. The report suggested maker had built it for the Indonesian market because i20 Active isn’t feasible there, and it will follow the same trend for other markets too.

Talking about differentiations Grand i10X carry against the standard model, it received the beefed-up ground clearance, plastic extension on the front bumper and sides, skid plate, daytime running lights inside the fog lamps cluster, slightly resurrected C-pillar, roof spoiler and chromed exhaust tip. However, on inside, except for the silver bezel ornament on the steering wheel there is no more distinctive feature to report.

Hence, the engine bay will continue to pull the car with the 1.2-litre petrol machine producing 83PS of power @ 6000rpm and 116Nm of torque @ 4000rpm, mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard.

The top-end option of Grand i10 also offers an exhaustive list of feature that includes cooled glove-box, 2-DIN music system with MP3 player and four-speakers, USB and AUX-in facility, driver seat height adjustment, smart key, push start and lot more. Despite small in size it surprises with its 265-litres of boot space which sounds enough for holding luggage of a weekend drive.
