Honda has been manufacturing Brio hatchback in the country and now these locally produced model have made their way to South Africa. The first part of the export consisting of the 390 units of Brio Hatchback has been shipped off to the South Africa. These vehicles were produced in India at the Honda Production facility situated at Greater Noida, New Delhi NCR.
CEO and President, Honda Cars India, Mr. Hironori Kanayama told the reporters that the company is delighted to ship the first Brio consignment to South Africa. He also said that export business is the first step that will be helping India to gain its status as an important hub for the export of certain models. The export is also the test of the quality and the efficiency of the Honda cars that are manufactured in India. He also said that he is proud that the Brio made in India is of highest quality and is ready to make its way to the international markets.
He further added that the Brio is the first car that is being exported to the South Africa from the Honda Cars India Ltd and the first consignment of the 390 cars is the first milestone in the journey. He said that company is planning to export more than 1600 units to the SA and SADC countries by March next year. The export will help the HCIL to grow with the Indian Auto Industry.
